Upon arrival to the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself, your health history and your condition.
*THIS MAY BE DONE ONLINE-PLEASE CLICK "Fill out your initial paperwork online!!!" tab on the home page.
Consultation and HIstory
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. The doctor will ask pertinent questions about you and your condition to get the information he needs to best address your healthcare needs and to begin to develop a clinical impression of your condition.
Physical Examination and X-ray Studies
In order to determine what is the nature of your actual problem, the doctor will need to perform a physical examination related to your condition. He will also perform a number of specialized tests to determine which body regions, joints and tissues are affected and to what extent. Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to assess the condition of your spine, to rule out more serious conditions and to assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Due to the fact that metal things like zippers and clips interfere with x-rays, we advise that you please avoid wearing jewelry or clothes with metal zippers or clips. This will minimize the necessity for changing out of what your wearing to take your x-ray.
Same Day Treatment
When the doctor has finished and reviewed the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit if no contraindication exists. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.
Home Care Instructions
Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
Schedule Your Next Appointment
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
